The service also comes with a mobile app that shows your transactions as you use the card at any store or online merchant. You can now use bitcoin in your Coinbase account to buy goods wherever Visa is accepted.
Currently the daily spending limit is $1,000 USD but you can contact Shift support if you would like to increase your spending limit. If you’re spending from your Coinbase account, there is a daily ATM withdrawal limit of $200.

Up to now someone in the US who wanted a bitcoin debit card had to obtain one from an issuer outside of the US. A common complaint is that cards from companies outside of the US did not always function reliably at merchant terminals at US stores. Shift hopes to correct that by providing a Visa card issued by a US bank.
